Due to the Extreme Heat over the upcoming week, the City of Westland has opened an emergency cooling center for residents. Cooling Center hours and location.

Westland City Hall, City Parks and the Jefferson Barns Community Vitality Center are open for our residents. Online services and the City drop boxes are still available for residents to use.  The two drop boxes located at City Hall for bill payments (no cash please) and document drop offs that will be checked daily.  The Senior Friendship Center will continue to be closed until further notice.  Thank you for your patience in this unprecedented challenging time and please stay healthy.

Pursuant to the provisions of Executive Order No. 2020-48 issued by Governor Gretchen Whitmer on April 14, 2020, notice is hereby given that the City of Westland City Council will hold an electronic public Planning Commission session on July 7th, 2020 beginning at 6:30 PM.  Live streaming of the meeting will also be available through the WLND Municipal Channel on YouTube.  Click Here for Live Streaming.  Recordings will also be available on the Municipal Channel following the event as soon as possible.

Instructions for Public Comments:
Electronic Attendees will be able to use the "Raise Hand" function during the Citizen's Comments sections of the meeting.  The Commission President will recognize the resident and will be allowed to speak when called upon for up to 3 minutes.
Telephone Attendees will be placed in a queue by pressing *9 and will be identified and called upon by the last four digits of their telephone number.  In order to talk, the Attendee must press *6 to un-mute their telephone.
Normal public comment protocols will be followed.
