Mike has served the residents of Westland on the City Council since 2001. He is married to Debra and they have 3 grown children and 2 grandsons. Westland's VFW post 3323 is named after Mike's grandfather who served in the famed Polar Bear Unit in WWI. Mike was raised in Westland and attended St. John's Elementary, Stevenson Jr. High, and John Glenn High Schools.
