Governor Whitmer signs executive order "Stay Safe; Stay Home" directing all Michiganders to stay home unless they are part of essential infrastructure and for all businesses to suspend in person services unless necessary to sustain or preserve life.  Click here for the Executive Order.

Beaumont Hospital - Wayne, located at 33155 Annapolis, Wayne is temporarily closed to all patients except coronavirus victims.  This includes the emergency room.

In order to help decrease the spread of COVID-19, City of Westland Administrative Offices are closed to the public through April 13, 2020. Please review our online services and department contact emails and phone numbers located on our website.  City staff will still be responding to emails and voicemails as quickly as possible.  There are also two drop boxes located at City Hall for bill payments (no cash please) and document drop offs that will be checked daily.  Thank you for your patience in this unprecedented challenging time and please stay healthy.

As part of the Neighborhood Makeover Program, the Neighborhood Services Department, along with the newly created Beautification Commission, want to reward those businesses and residents that have taken the extra effort to improve their homes and buildings for themselves and the community.  The City's Neighborhood Specialists will be going through out our neighborhoods looking for that great curb appeal and improvements that you can be proud of.

Whether it is cleaning up that pile of old lumber on the side of the garage, painting your house, putting a new awning up at your business, or creating some fantastic landscapes we want to let people know that we appreciate all their hard work.  But we need your help to recognize all these hardworking people that have really spruced up their properties.  So please nominate anyone, including yourself, that you feel has really added to their property’s appeal.  A business or a resident, we want to recognize everyone.

Use the link below to nominate yourself, a business, a neighbor, or any property you feel has improved.  You can even upload a picture of that great look.  Awardees will be recognized with a certificate and the chance to be recognized as a grand winner at a City Council meeting!

To see some of our previously recognized recipients please follow the links in the left window.
