The City of Westland (western Wayne Co.), seeks experienced individual for vacant Budget Director
position.Qualified individual is responsible for preparing annual budget, preparing quarterly revenue,
expense and other financial reports for annual audit and Council; responsible for performing various
financial transactions with banks and other duties as required in the City’s Finance Department.
Individual will perform duties as an independent contractor (no health, pension or other fringe
benefits) working flexible hours which may include approximately 40 hours per week in months prior
to annual June budget adoption and less hours during other times of the year. Bachelor’s degree
preferred with at least five years prior municipal finance experience, position is not entry level.
