THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. Credit or Debit Card payments may be made online with an additional 2.49% bank convenience fee. Payments made directly from checking or savings accounts (eCheck) may be made with no additional charge. eCheck and credit card payments are accepted only as a conditional payment. If not honored by a bank, tax is unpaid and subject to returned payment and unpaid tax penalties.
   
   
2. Payments may be made same day or scheduled for a future date. Same day payments made after 9:00pm will be counted as paid on the following business day. Future payments may not be scheduled past the due date printed on the tax bill. You may reschedule, cancel, or otherwise change payment if processing has not already begun.
   
   
3. All payments must be made in full. Partial payments are not accepted for tax bills.
   
   Transactions may take up to five business days for your account balance to be updated online for viewing in your account history at Property tax and assessment information.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Have your current tax bill and credit/debit card or bank account information with you before starting this payment process. You will need information printed on the bill to continue. Click PAY SUMMER TAX button at the bottom of this page when you are ready to start. You will be transferred over to a Chase Bank web site. Your payment will be processed directly with JPMorgan Chase over a secure connection.
   
   
2. Each tax bill has been pre-registered as a user with JPMorgan Chase Bank and has its own Login and Password.
   Login to your tax bill's account at Chase Bank using the following:

          LOGIN ID = property #, without spaces with 56 (example: 56xxxxxxxxxxxx)
          PASSWORD = bill #, prefixed with WL (example: WLxxxx)
          (Passwords are case sensitive. WL must be upper case.)

        
Note: the first time you login to the account for this tax bill, you will be asked to change your password. Remember what you change it to. Remember again that passwords are case sensitive. The new password becomes effective immediately and remains in effect for the current tax bill unless you change it again. This does not affect passwords for other tax bills.

 

• Click continue until you get to the main menu. From there, click on the Make Payment button to start your payment and follow the instructions and click continue on each page to guide you through the rest of the payment.

• Click the EXIT button at the upper right at any time to exit the application and return to the City of Westland web site. However, please remember your payment is not scheduled until you see the Payment confirmation page.
