Police services are provided by 100 sworn personnel. Our Enhanced 911 capability features a 800 MHz Motorola system which provides better, reliable communications for public safety personnel in Westland and neighboring communities allowing quicker responses to emergencies. Road patrols are divided into a 12-hour day shift A & B and night shift A & B.
