REMINDER: IMPORTANT ROAD CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION FROM THE WAYNE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE - WARREN ROAD
WHAT’S BEING DONE? Thank you for your patience while we make important improvements to 1.41 miles of hot mix asphalt cold milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement repair, curb ramps, signing and pavement markings on Warren Road from Newburgh Road to Wayne Road in the city of Westland, Wayne County.
WHEN WILL WORK TAKE PLACE? Construction began
on September 6, 2022, plans are to have phase 1 (concrete) completed by November 15, 2022. All lanes will be open to traffic during the winter, and traffic control devices removed. Phase 2 ( asphalt ) will then resume April 15, 2023 and are expected to be completed by May 15, 2023, barring any unforeseen delays or inclement weather.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT? During construction, one lane of traffic in each direction will always remain open. Traffic control devices such as signs, cones, barrels, or barricades in addition to flaggers will be present as needed during the project. Please use caution when driving through work zones. Reduced speeds and lane width restrictions may be posted. Any limitations of access to side streets necessary will communicated in advance and access to commercial or residential properties will be always maintained.
