3. The Westland Fire Department is excited to offer Westland residents a new program to provide free smoke detectors to people that do not have them currently in their homes.  The Fire Department will not only provide the smoke detector but install it also free of charge!

   Disclaimers:

   • Must be a resident of Westland
   • The Fire Department does not install hard wired smoke detectors
   • The smoke detectors will not be installed in rental properties or apartments

20. This program is exclusively available to residents of Westland. Please note that we do not assist with hardwired detectors, nor do we service apartments or rental properties. 

    Smoke detectors will be provided until the supply runs out on a first come, first serve basis.  

    Once the request is received we will reach out to the contact information provided to schedule the installation or collect more information as needed.

    The Westland Fire Department is happy to provide this opportunity to the residents of Westland to assist in providing a safer environment to live in.
