Election Workers


Working at a precinct on Election Day is a wonderful way to serve your community and to meet your neighbors. On average, the City of Westland holds two elections each year in the months of August and November. We are currently accepting applications for election inspector. Applications are available at the City Clerk's Office or onElection Workers Receiving Trainingline.


You will be contacted when training dates are scheduled. Return the following completed forms to the City Clerk's Office:


You must be a registered voter in the State of Michigan, have moderate computer skills, be able to work well with others, and be able to read and follow directions. All election workers are expected to operate the election computers and voting equipment during the course of the day.

Training Dates

Training dates will vary and will be scheduled before regularly scheduled elections. All election inspectors must be trained before being scheduled to work.
