You can count on the Westland Fire Department to help you with your durable medical equipment needs. We often have on hand wheelchairs, walkers, canes and crutches and shower chairs. If we do not have something in our inventory we can assist you in acquiring what you need. In addition, we are giving out hand sanitizer and surgical masks for those our in need of personal protective equipment.

Michigan Homeowner Assistance Fund (MIHAF)
The Homeowner Assistance Fund was established to mitigate hardships associated with the coronavirus pandemic by providing funds to prevent homeowner mortgage delinquencies, defaults, foreclosure, loss of utilities or home energy services and displacements of homeowners experiencing financial hardship on or after January 21, 2020 or for those homeowners who experience a coronavirus pandemic financial hardship that began before January 21, 2020 but continued after that date. Wayne County ERAP is available to those in Wayne County who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, who are experiencing housing instability, and whose household income is at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI).
