Board of Ethics

About

The Board of Ethics is governed by a five-member board appointed by the Mayor. Members serve a three-year term, except that of those first appointed, two shall serve for three years, two for two years, and one for one year. Members must reside in the City of Westland. Current City Officials or employees are not eligible for appointment. 

The Ethics Committee assists with written opinions on ethical questions and to engage in activity that promotes ethical behavior. Members must keep all complaints, requests for advisory opinions and all documents strictly confidential.
