The MSB is governed by a five-member board that is appointed by the Mayor and operates as a non-profit organization. Members are appointed to three year terms. The MSB oversees the operations of:
A crossing guard unit
A home chores program
The Mike Modano Ice Arena
The Mack Mayfield Municipal Golf Course
A park ranger program
